As the Senior Development Officer, Major Gifts and Events for the Women's Refugee Commission, Erin is responsible for cultivating relationships with current individual donors, reaching out and building relationships with prospective supporters, overseeing and developing giving systems, and planning and coordinating events to showcase and celebrate the work of the WRC.
Erin joined the WRC in February 2012 as events coordinator. She oversaw the logistical and administrative aspects of the 2012 Voices of Courage Awards Luncheon, "Protecting and Empowering Displaced Adolescent Girls," which was the WRC’s most successful luncheon ever.
Erin has more than eight years of experience in nonprofit development, having worked with several international human rights organizations, including the Global Fund for Women and the International Rescue Committee.
In 2011 she received her master’s degree in Public Policy from Mills College, where she wrote her thesis on “The Pre-Treatment Needs of Native Americans Seeking Substance Abuse Recovery Programs.”
Erin is also a certified yoga teacher and a proud supporter of the yoga/activist organization, Off The Mat, Into The World.
