The Women's Refugee Commission works to improve the lives and protect the rights of women, children and youth displaced by conflict and crisis. We research their needs, identify solutions and advocate for programs and policies to strengthen their resilience and drive change in humanitarian practice.

The Women’s Refugee Commission was established in 1989 to address the particular needs of refugee and displaced women and children. It is affiliated with and is legally part of the International Rescue Committee, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. It does not receive direct financial support from the IRC.

The intern will provide overall support to the Women's Refugee Commission’s communications department. The internship is a great opportunity to work closely with professional communications staff, develop strategic communications skills and learn about the humanitarian field.
