Published

Urgent Service Needs, Appropriate Restitution, and Policies Needed to Prevent a Future Administration from Separating Families

With more than 5,500 children separated from their parents under the Trump administration and more than 1,000 still waiting to be reunited today, the Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC) provides an update on the status of the forcibly separated families and the ongoing harms they suffer. In this policy brief, WRC recommends that the Biden administration meet the urgent service needs of the families; provide restitution measures; and implement durable policies to prevent future separations of families.
