New resources from the Global Refugee Youth Network

Our colleagues at the Global Refugee Youth Network (GRYN)—a refugee- and youth-led organization housed at WRC since 2021—have been especially busy this spring, rolling out several important initiatives that we’d like to share:

• “Starting Your Advocacy Journey” is a practical and accessible guide designed to support refugee youth in building advocacy skills, shaping their messages, and engaging in meaningful policy and community change.

• “Voices for Justice” is a global report that captures the perspectives and priorities of refugee youth. Shared during the CSW (Commission on the Status of Women) youth consultation, the report highlights key recommendations for achieving gender equality and justice.

• The report and recommendations, “Localizing Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response with Young Refugee Women Leaders,” highlight the experiences and leadership of young refugee women in addressing gender-based violence (GBV). The report includes actionable recommendations for more inclusive and localized GBV responses.

• “Financing Refugee Youth Leadership” is a policy-oriented guide that explores barriers to and opportunities for funding refugee youth-led initiatives, offering recommendations for donors and stakeholders to better support youth leadership.

Please check out these important new resources for refugee youth and their allies, and learn more about GRYN on their website.
