Climate Justice
More than 150 million people are expected to be displaced by climate change by 2050. The loss of lives and livelihoods, and the damage to infrastructure, will be immense. Women and girls and other marginalized populations, including LGBTQI individuals and people with disabilities, are disproportionately impacted by climate change. The Women’s Refugee Commission is assessing the impact of climate change on vulnerable and marginalized communities. We will identify ways to enhance their protection, reduce exposure to further risks, and ensure equitable assistance and opportunities.
