If you’re in the New York City area, we invite you to join us for the theatrical premiere of A Place of Absence, a documentary whose themes of family separation, migration, and ambiguous loss resonate deeply with WRC’s mission and work. We are thrilled to announce that we will be co-presenting the Sunday, October 18 screening at 7:30pm, along with Safe Passage Project. WRC’s Director of Migrant Rights and Justice, Dr. Zain Lakhani, will be participating in a post-screening conversation moderated by Ignacio Jaureguilorda of Safe Passage Project.
As a WRC supporter, you can use code MOTHERS for 20% off tickets. The film runs between October 16 and October 22 at DCTV’s Firehouse Cinema.
Please join us, and feel free to pass this invitation along to others in your community who might want to see the film and hear more about WRC’s work to protect the rights and lives of migrant women and families.
We hope to see you at the cinema!
