Sharing of Information
We are committed to maintaining your trust, and we want you to understand when and with whom we may share the information we collect.

If you access third-party services, such as Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, or YouTube, from the Sites or to share information about your experience on the Sites with others, these third-party services may be able to collect information about you, including information about your activity on the Sites, and they may notify your connections on the third-party services about your use of the Sites, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to help protect information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures may include encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, security monitoring tools, software updates, and restricted administrative access. However, you should understand that no data storage system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure. Please note that information collected by third parties may not have the same security protections as information you submit to us, and we are not responsible for protecting the security of such information.
Your Choices
You may opt out of our emails newsletters or commercial emails by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of each email and following the subsequent instructions. You may also manage your cookie preferences through the cookie consent banner and preferences center available on our Sites. Through these tools, you may accept or reject certain categories of non-essential cookies and similar technologies. You may review and request corrections to certain personal information we maintain about you, or request that we limit certain sharing of your personal information, by contacting us at info@wrcommission.org or another privacy-specific contact address designated by WRC.
Third-Party Links and Content
Some of the Sites may contain links to content maintained by third parties that we do not control. We allow third parties, including business partners and service providers, to collect information about your online activities through cookies, pixels, local storage, and other technologies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties, and the information practices of these third parties are not covered by this Policy. Do-Not-Track Signals and Similar Mechanisms. Some web browsers transmit “do-not-track” signals to websites. Because of differences in how web browsers incorporate and activate this feature, it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted or whether users even are aware of them. Users may manage cookie and tracking preferences through our consent management platform. Because browser-based “Do Not Track” signals are not yet standardized, our Sites may not respond uniformly to all such signals.
Cookies
Cookies are small bits of information that are stored by your computer’s web browser. Pixel tags are very small images or small pieces of data embedded in images, also known as “web beacons” or “clear GIFs,” that can recognize cookies, the time and date a page is viewed, a description of the page where the pixel tag is placed, and similar information from your computer or device. Local Shared Objects (sometimes referred to as “Flash Cookies”) are similar to standard cookies except that they can be larger and are downloaded to a computer or mobile device by the Adobe Flash media player. To find out more above cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.
We use cookies and similar technologies for a variety of purposes, including enabling core site functionality, improving user experience, maintaining security, analyzing site performance, and understanding how visitors interact with our Sites.
Certain cookies are classified as strictly necessary and are required for the operation and security of the Sites. Other cookies, including analytics, functionality, and advertising-related cookies, may be optional and will be activated only after user consent where required by applicable law.
Users may manage their cookie preferences at any time through the cookie consent banner and preferences center available on our Sites. Disabling certain cookies may impact the functionality or performance of portions of the Sites.
International Users
We maintain information in the United States of America and in accordance with the laws of the United States, which may not provide the same level of protection as the laws in your jurisdiction. By using the Sites and providing us with information, you understand and agree that your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your resident jurisdiction and, to the extent you are a resident of a country other than the United States, that you consent to the transfer of such data to the United States for processing by us in accordance with this Policy. You may have certain rights as a data subject under local law. For example, local law may afford you the right to access, update, restrict, oppose, erase, port, and/or correct inaccuracies in your personal information under our control, subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the contact information in the Contact Information section below.
Children
We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 without parental consent, unless permitted by law. If we learn that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it in accordance with applicable law.
Changes to The Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we update the Policy, we will revise the “Effective Date” date above and post the new Privacy Policy. We recommend that you review the Privacy Policy each time you visit the Sites to stay informed of our privacy practices.
