The Women’s Refugee Commission invites you to an exclusive 45-minute update highlighting our ongoing work on behalf of displaced women and girls.
In recent months, sweeping policy shifts and devastating funding cuts, the sudden and shocking withdrawal of the US from the global humanitarian system, unrelenting conflict and violence against women, closed borders, and cruel deportation and detention have created chaos, suffering, and injustice for women and children—and unprecedented challenges for our work.
We will not let this happen in the dark. WRC is the only organization singularly focused on tracking the threats and harms of today’s policy changes and funding cuts on displaced women and girls, in the US and in crises worldwide, while centering their voices and leadership and ensuring they are not left behind.
This briefing is an opportunity to hear directly from program leads about how we are meeting the moment by responding to the fast-changing landscape, monitoring abuses, and mitigating harm.
