Virtual Launch of Stocktaking Paper on Cash and Voucher Assistance for Protection
The Women’s Refugee Commission is convening a panel discussion on taking stock of cash and voucher assistance to achieve protection outcomes on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020 at 9 a.m.
The Grand Bargain called for increasing the routine use of cash and building “an evidence base to assess the costs, benefits, impacts, and risks of cash (including on protection) relative to in kind assistance, service delivery interventions and vouchers, and combinations thereof.” As a contribution to the evidence base, the Global Protection Cluster’s Task Team on Cash for Protection developed the stocktaking paper on Cash and Voucher Assistance for Protection using evidence gathered from Task Team members across the GPC Areas of Responsibility on Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence.
The launch will highlight recommendations for key humanitarian stakeholders on using cash and voucher assistance for protection outcomes and/or protection programming.
