WRC stands with fellow members of the Gender-Based Violence Area of Responsibility (GBV AoR) in wholeheartedly endorsing GBV AoR’s joint statement on gender-based violence and gender equality pushback. The statement’s release coincides with the start of this year’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign uniting individuals and institutions in their call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. GBV AoR is a group of NGOs, UN agencies, academics, and others who work collectively to improve the humanitarian response for the prevention, risk mitigation, and response to all forms of gender-based violence.
