Amicus Brief Filed in Support of Respondents in Trump V. Barbara
PublishedFifty-one immigrants’ rights groups, including WRC, filed an amicus brief in Trump v. Barbara (a class action lawsuit pertaining to birthright citizenship) at the Supreme Court on February 27, 2026. The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on April 1.
WRC’s contributions to the amicus were grounded in expert analysis by WRC’s Migrant Rights and Justice program, which advances the rights and protection of immigrant women, girls, and families, and by the Global Campaign for Equal Nationality Rights (GCENR), housed at WRC, which advances gender-equal nationality rights.
