Civil Society Organizations Call on the Mexican Government to Reject Any Reinstatement of Migrant Protection-Protocols (MPP)

Published

The Women’s Refugee Commission joined more than 70 organizations in a letter urging the Mexican government to reject any reinstatement of the inhumane Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), known as the “Remain in Mexico” policy. For two years, this policy erected insurmountable due process barriers and inflicted extreme harm on the more than 72,000 individuals seeking protection who were returned to Mexico to await their US immigration hearings.
