Collective NGO Statement on Release of the 2026 Global Humanitarian Overview

The Women’s Refugee Commission has signed a collective NGO statement on the 2026 Global Humanitarian Overview (GHO). The statement is signed by 89 local, national, regional, international, women-led, and refugee-led NGOs and NGO networks, alliances, and fora, including humanitarian organizations operating in countries covered by the GHO. Among a range of critical issues, the statement highlights unprecedented crises driven by conflict, climate disasters, and funding cuts, and warns of worsening hunger, displacement, and gender-based violence amid declining aid and political will. We urge new and traditional donors to fully fund the GHO, prioritize localization, gender equality, inclusive systemic reform, and the protection of civilians and humanitarian norms.
