CSWG Statement on WPS Act Reporting Deadline
PublishedThe US Civil Society Working Group on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) has issued a joint statement urging Congressional oversight of the WPS Act of 2017.
For the first time since its passage, the US Government has failed to submit the legally required report to Congress—an omission that undermines both the letter and spirit of this landmark bipartisan law.
We call on Congress to urge the Administration to submit the overdue report and ensure full implementation of the WPS Act.
