Falling Through the Cracks: Millions Missing Out on Education in Emergencies

Published

Since 1999, the Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC) has partnered with youth groups in Kosovo, northern Uganda and Sierra Leone in participatory research studies to determine the needs and aspirations of adolescents in situations of violent conflict. The “Global Survey on Education in Emergencies,” released in February 2004, presents the overall international situation of education in emergency situations, as well as 11 country-specific case studies.
