Women’s Refugee Commission Marks Our 35th Anniversary

35th anniversary logoThis year, the Women’s Refugee Commission is marking a major milestone—our 35th anniversary. Back in 1989, our founders had big dreams to do all they could to improve the lives of women and girls fleeing conflict and crises. Over the course of 2024, we will celebrate our achievements at in-person and virtual events, pay tribute to 35 vanguards, and, of course, continue our critical research and advocacy.

35 Voices of Courage

Ever inspired by their bravery and dedication to making a better world for refugees, this summer we are celebrating remarkable individuals who have been a part of our story over the past 35 years.

Meet the people who inspire us and check back each month this summer for new Voices of Courage!
