    Eileen Serra recently retired from JP Morgan Chase. Most recently, Eileen was a Senior Advisor, focusing on strategic growth initiatives across the Chase businesses. She assumed this role in January 2016.

    From 2012 - 2016, Eileen was the CEO of Chase Card Services, which includes Chase’s consumer, small business, commercial card businesses as well as Chase Pay Digital Wallet. Chase is the largest card issuer in the United States, with more than $125 billion in loans. 

    Eileen joined Chase Card Services in 2006. She defined and led the execution of a growth strategy that has transformed the business by creating industry-leading products (e.g., Sapphire, Ultimate Rewards, Freedom), changing the customer experience and enhancing the digital customer journey.  This has resulted in significant gains in market share and customer satisfaction.  In 2015, over $500 billion of consumer purchases were made on Chase credit cards.  

    Prior to JPMorgan Chase, Eileen was a Managing Director-Private Client Banking Solutions at Merrill Lynch where she had responsibility for consumer and business cards, retail deposits and the commercial cash management business. 

    Before Merrill Lynch, Eileen worked at American Express. Eileen was also a partner at McKinsey & Company, heading the North American Consumer Practice where she focused on developing/implementing growth strategies for consumer goods and services companies.

    Eileen is a Director of Gartner, Inc. She also serves on the Board of the Women’s Refugee Commission and Family Promise. Eileen has been recognized as among the 25 “Most Powerful Women in Banking” in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

    Eileen has a BS from the University of California and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
