    Janna Metzler, Senior Advisor for Sexual and Reproductive Health, leads WRC’s work on adolescent sexual and reproductive health. She currently oversees research examining the prevalence and drivers of child marriage in seven humanitarian settings. Prior to joining the WRC, Janna was the lead field researcher in a joint Columbia University and World Vision International global research and learning project evaluating the impact of Child Friendly Spaces in Emergencies. An expert on measurement and evaluative approaches for children’s programming in emergencies, she has provided design, monitoring and evaluation technical support to field teams globally. Janna is currently a Research Director in the Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health where she leads a randomized controlled trial of an enhanced model of Child Friendly Spaces.

    Janna received her Doctor of Public Health from the Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. She also holds a B.A. in Psychology from Boston University and a dual MSSW and MPH from Columbia University.
